I always love the opportunity to compare my work with other professionals in my industry. It’s always fun to see how someone else approaches the same exact room/space and I enjoy breaking down their images to see how they shoot and what their technique is.
As every professional real estate photographer has their own style and flare it’s important to find a photographer who delivers the kind of images you desire. I’m never offended if someone doesn’t care for my style/approach to real estate photography but if you do like my work I would love to earn your business! Please feel free to view my real estate packages and pricing on my website here.
For the first time since moving here to East Tennessee I’ve actually had the opportunity to compare my style to another local professional real estate photographer who uses a lot of the same similar techniques as I do. To be honest with you, there were a couple of shots where I actually prefer theirs… Pretty impressed!
Not every professional real estate photographer offers the same approach, style or quality. In this posting I’m taking a look at my work vs another local professionals for a home located on Sparkling Star Ln in Knoxville TN.
I love to study real estate images and break down other photographer’s work. The opportunity to photograph the same exact property as one of my competitors is rare. So I always make it a point to examine my work and compare it to see where I can improve, and where I’m excelling. Please feel free to check out my series My Work vs Others here.
Adding to my series of My Work Vs Others I had another opportunity to compare my photography to another local professionals on a house located on Wells Scenic View Lane in Knoxville TN.
Like I’ve mentioned before, every photographer has their own unique style and approach to architectural photography and I love to study other photographers work. It’s a great way for me to see where I can improve while simultaneously showcase my style compared to another professionals.
With that being said, here is a closer look at 7933 Wells Scenic View Lane:
As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, I always love the opportunity to compare my work with others. It’s a great learning experience to see what other professionals do with the same property space available to them. Whilst it’s great for me to be able to study others work, it’s always a great opportunity for me to showcase my style vs other local professionals.
So here’s a closer look at 8329 Shoregate Ln, Knoxville, TN 37938:
Every property offers it’s own unique challenges when photographing. Different factors such as the color/texture of the walls/ceilings, number of windows, accent lighting, furniture size and color…etc all make a difference in the approach needed to create a stunning real estate image.
Because of this, it’s not always easy to compare your work to other professionals. For example, I couldn’t possible compare my work to another’s if I’m comparing a cabin with wood floors, ceilings and walls to a modern town home with white walls and furniture.
So when given the opportunity to photograph the same property another professional has already shot, I get a little excited and nervous. It’s exciting to be able to compare images and see where your strengths and weaknesses are but also a bit nervous that a re-shoot is being requested in the first place… Is it a high maintenance agent or property owner? Will I be able to the results they are looking for? These are just a few thoughts that quickly run through my head when booking this kind of photoshoot.
If possible, I prefer to NOT look at images the previous photographer delivered. This is because I don’t want to be influenced by another’s approach prior to the shoot. I have plenty of time afterwards to dissect his work and learn from it. This isn’t always possible though, as I need to know what problems/issues they have with the photos they received.
More importantly, and the reason for this post, I want to showcase my work and style compared to my local competition. So here are the results of 229 Red Oak Circle, Caryville, TN 37714.
