Crazy Times! I feel very fortunate that I’ve been able to continue doing what I love during this epidemic. I’ve always felt it’s important to continually share my recent work so others will know what to expect if they hire me to photograph their property/listing. With that said, here are a few recent shoots I did during the month of March.

CoronaVirus Posting

According to the Governor’s Executive Order November 22, ‘Real Estate Services’ is listed as an “essential service” and therefor I will continue accepting appointments for property photo shoots at this time. This includes photoshoots for Real Estate, Vacation Rental Properties, Hotels/Spas, restaurants and other commercial buildings.

With that said I do ask that the property be either vacant or have as few people onsite as possible at the time of the shoot. Though I’m Italian and have this “thing” inside me that wants to make some kind of physical contact with everyone I encounter – for the time being I’m not shaking hands and for the most part will try to stay the suggested 6 feet away from other people.

Now more then ever the general public will rely on photos to view market inventory. In addition to photography, I also offer video as well. You can view more information about my video services here. I will also in the next couple weeks begin to offer 3D Virtual Tours for my real estate clients.

The goal is to provide you with the tools you need to continue marketing your properties. If there is anything that you are concerned about, or have any suggestions and/or questions please always feel free to reach out to me on my cell phone. February 2020 Real Estate Photography in East TN

Okay… I’m posting this WAY LATE and but I feel it’s necessary to constantly post recent shoots so people who haven’t used me before know what to expect when hiring me to photograph their property/listing.

Thank You!

I just wanted to send a quick thanks to all of my awesome clients for your patience and understanding whilst I’ve been off playing in the ocean.

Last week my wife and I were able to fit in over 10 dives in Curaçao including some bucket list locations; Kokomo Beach and a night dive in Punda where we were lucky enough to spot an octopus!

I Will Be Unavailable Next Week

I wanted to send out a quick heads up that I will be out of the country March 6th Through March 15th 2020. My wife and I are going on a scuba diving trip in Curaçao during that time.

I know being unavailable as spring approaches is not ideal in the real estate industry. As my focus is to travel less and stay local doing real estate and vacation rental shoots, in the future I will be scheduling my vacations during the slow month of December.

IF you by chance can wait for me to return for any shoots I would love to schedule you in! I will be returning any emails/text and voicemail messages I receive every evening/morning and booking appointments as they come. PLEASE do not hesitate to reach out to me!

Did you know in Las Vegas Nevada they receive over 294 sunny days per year? Unfortunately, here in the greater Knoxville Tennessee area we only average 204 sunny days per year. With 161 bad weather days, waiting around for beautiful blue skies to list your property isn’t always an option.

No worries though, on bad weather days I offer FREE exterior sky replacement photos! This is an fantastic service that allows you to hit the ground running with no delays in marketing your property.

Preparing your home to be photographed

No question putting your home on the market is a stressful experience. With everything going on what needs attention can sometimes get lost in the fog. This posting can help set you up for success not just in getting excellent photos, but also create effective showings.

Just a couple good tips and general advice on preparing your home to be photographed.

De-clutter and hide clutter in the garage. The rule is, if there’s an item your not sure should be put off to storage, it should. De-clutter as much as possible! Typically the garage is not photographed so it’s a great place to store most clutter and unnecessary furniture. This will also make the home show better to potential buyers.
Have carpets professionally cleaned. It’s a great idea to have the carpets shampooed just prior to the photo shoot. Having your carpets cleaned is very affordable and goes a long way when marketing your home to potential buyers.

Outside Areas

Mow, rake and trim landscaping.
Remove all clutter including water hoses.
Remove any pool/spa covers.
Power wash all driveways, sidewalks, patios and entryway
Clear any clutter on patios
Uncover any bbq grills
Remove any pool toys/equipment

Living Areas

Turn off all TVs and hide all remote controllers
Remove all toys, floor fans and any other clutter
Remove any unnecessary furniture
Hide all chords – Unplug devices if necessary
Open all blinds and drapes – let in as much light as possible
Remove any personal photographs you don’t want online
Remove all nick knacks
Turn off ceiling fans

Kitchen and Dining Area

Clean and remove any dishes
Remove all small appliances
Remove any objects on fridge (magnets..etc)
Wipe down stainless steel appliances
Remove all dish cloths
Minimize counter top clutter
Hide all chords

Bedrooms

Make all beds
De-clutter toys, books…etc
Remove all personal items
Ensure all lamps/lights are working
Remove any posters
Hide all chords
Open blinds and drapes
Turn off ceilings fans

Bathrooms

Clear counter tops of all toiletries
Close all toilet lids
Ensure toilet roll is not empty
Clean all glass and mirrors
Remove all soaps from shower
Remove any scales and matts

60 Minutes before the shoot

De-clutter as much as possible
Open all blinds and drapes – let in as much light as possible
Turn on all lights (lamps included)Make sure all light bulbs are the same color
Turn OFF any ceiling fans
Hide all pet bowls/beds and any evidence
Hide all toiletries in the bathrooms
Remove all personal items
Turn off all TVs
Remove vehicles from the driveway

My Work Vs Others: North Knoxville

For the first time since moving here to East Tennessee I’ve actually had the opportunity to compare my style to another local professional real estate photographer who uses a lot of the same similar techniques as I do. To be honest with you, there were a couple of shots where I actually prefer theirs… Pretty impressed!
